3 Ways To Wear Metallic Eyeshadow This Fall

3 Ways To Wear Metallic Eyeshadow This Fall

Hi Beautiful PL's!!

Fall is here (mini exciting scream) and it is time to shine bright with your eyeshadows. Over the summer bright color metallics where the "IT" types of shadows so it is no surprise that those beautiful shadows have found their way into the Fall season. As discussed in Fall Makeup Must Haves neutral/gold metallic eyeshadows are here to stay! If there is a type of eyeshadow to purchase this season it is a metallic eyeshadow. They are perfect for everyday wear and special holiday events.

#1 Tip: To bring out the pigments in your metallic eyeshadow spritz your brush with water or fix plus before applying to the desired area.

Tools Needed:

1. Favorite metallic eyeshadow. (I recommend a bronze, gold or copper shade.)
2. Eyeliner brush.
3. Eyeshadow brush.

Steps:
1. Spritz brush with water/fix plus.
2. Dip brush in product.
3. Apply to desired area.

#1: Inner Tear Duct
Putting metallic eyeshadow in the inner tear duct will make the eye seem more open and make you look more awake. This is perfect for those days you did not sleep well the night before.

 #2: On Lid
Wear the metallic eyeshadow over the entire lid for a bold look, perfect for events such as homecoming or dinner parties. Make sure to blend blend blend around the edges!

 #3: Liner
Wearing your metallic eyeshadow as a liner is a fun way to show your creative side. Oh, you thought only black or brown eyeliner gels and liquids could be worn as a liner? No, remember be unique and be you!

Share on Instagram how you wear your favorite Fall metallic eyeshadow. Tag @ or hashtag # pinkluxpl if you would like your picture to be featured or seen.

A Tall & A Small in Pleats

A Tall & A Small in Pleats

 Heyyy ladies!!!

Happy Thursday, I hope you all are having a great week and ready for a great weekend. I had an awesome time collaborating with the beautiful and sweet Je Ne Sais Quoi despite the rain. If you live in Alabama you understand our pain, let's just say random rain showers suck! We would not let the rain ruin our shine together and the fact we had cute matching outfits we just kept smiling for the camera. I knew when I met Jeniese I had to collaborate with her, she has amazing style and is always very supportive. Remember having a tribe that understands and supports our vision is very important. I am so happy we got a chance to collab, this will not be the last time. I hope you enjoy this collaboration with A Tall & A Small in Pleats.

 We shot in downtown Birmingham with only 2 minutes to spare until a down pour started. We both decided to pair our white pleated midi and maxi skirts with a black top and black heels. The Je Ne Sais Quoi went for a pointy toe 3 inch heel and I went for quilted 4 1/2 inch heel.

Make sure to check out Jeniese blog Je Ne Sais Quoi and follow her on social media.

::Outfit::
Necklace:: Maurices (purchased last summer)
Top:: Target (best t-shirts)

HAPPY 1 YEAR BLOGIVERSARY!!!!!

HAPPY 1 YEAR BLOGIVERSARY!!!!!

HEYYY Beautiful PL'S!!!

Today is a BIG moment in PinkLux history! One year ago I stopped being scared, stepped out on faith and started PinkLux the beauty, fashion and lifestyle blog. Since then PinkLux has grown into a beauty, fashion and confidence boosting community. I just want to say Thank You soooo much to each and every PL! I am literally crying as I type this because each and every one of you have motivated and inspired me in many ways. If you would have asked me a year ago if I would know so many amazing and supporting individuals I would have said no because I didn't think anyone would read the blog.

To have hundreds of supporters makes me speechless. I grew up feeling alone and being an outcast so to have you all it means the world to me. I prayed for months for God to guide me and tell me how I can help his people. I wanted to help women feel confident because I know how it feels to be bullied and think you are not worthy. You are all beautiful inside and out no matter your shape, size or skin tone, don't let another person evaluate your worth. To others its just a blog but to me its my own little family. :)

A glimpse of my year! I wish I had all the pictures of when I first met everyone. If you have them please #pinkluxpl on Instagram. Thank you!

Below are the top 3 things I learned this year from being a blogger.

Be Unique, Be You:

I use this phrase as my main hashtag because with so many blogs and social media it is easy to be like another blogger or act like someone else. It is important to learn and be who YOU are not someone else. The supporters, followers and subscribers will come once you start being yourself. Remember that you do not have create something new just put your own spin on it and rock it! Do not look at the numbers everyday just keep blogging about what your supporters love.

Network:

Networking has been the best thing since I started blogging. To be around women who understand your passion, goals, and support you every step of the way is amazing to find. One of the most important things I learned this year was also to build a tribe! Building your tribe is easy to do when you have the wonderful ladies of the following organizations: Birmingham BloggersSeeJaneWriteAlabama Women Bloggers, and GirlBossNetwork! If you are an Alabama blogger or just want to take your blog to the next step I definitely recommend joining a blogger organization.

Be Consistent:

To be honest I did not know the importance of being a consistent blogger until my first SeeJaneWrite seminar. Since then I have vowed to be consistent on my blog but also bring great content for YOU. If you choose to only post one day that is fine just make sure to post every week on that day. Being consistent can be hard with work and daily life so make sure you have an editorial calendar and use time management.

                                I feel like I can officially call myself a blogger and ladyboss!

Fall Makeup Must Haves

Fall Makeup Must Haves

Hey Hey!

Ok, Fall is officially a week away (September 23rd) and that means it is time to update or add these Fall Makeup Must Haves into your beauty regimen. If you are like me you have been patiently waiting for Fall to arrive so you can bring out those vampy and berry lips. Changing your lip color this season will only be the beginning of looking like Fall.

Add a metallic shadow to your lid to make your eyes pop this Fall! Blend the edges with a burgundy or brown shade for the perfect look. Bright color metallics were very popular in the Summer, for the Fall it is all about brown and neutral metallics. If you're not a metallic "all over the eye" kinda girl just wear it as a liner or as a pop of light in the inner tear duct.

On the days you just can't figure out what eyeshadow to wear just wing it, literally. When in a rush pull out your favorite liquid or gel liner and make a statement. I love the Wet n Wild liners not just because they are affordable but because they are easy to apply and long lasting.

What are your favorite makeup items for Fall? Do you like a nude lip or berry lip for Fall? Can't decide check out my recommendations here.

Top Lipstick Shades for Fall

Heyyy Ladies!!

A couple of days ago on Instagram I asked who was Team Nude or Team Berry this Fall. Some of you are on the fence or are on both teams (like me). I say go for an ombre lip and wear both!! However, if you chose to wear only one lip color at a time I recommend the lippies below. I have listed some very pigmented and affordable Top Lipstick Shades for Fall that I am sure you are going to love. All  items can be found at your local stores or the links provided below. Enjoy!
