L.A. Girl Matte Pigment Gloss Review & Try On

L.A. Girl Matte Pigment Gloss Review & Try On

Hello Beautiful PL's!!!

If you are loving all the liquid lip glosses and lip sticks coming out from every cosmetics company then you will love the new L. A. Girl Matte Pigment Glosses! L.A. Girl Cosmetics came out with 16 different shades ranging from nudes to deep purples. Let me start out by saying over all they are amazing!!! I only purchased my favorite shades but you are free to order as many as you like. I found them the cheapest on IkateHouse for only $3.99 each. (original price $5 each)

They are very pigmented and last for a very long time. To make them last even longer brush a small amount of translucent powder over lips to remove any oils. I would recommend to NOT rub your lips together until the gloss has dried on lips or it will create streaks.

You can also find out how to create your own matte lip glosses and lipsticks HERE.

Such a gorgeous orange-redish color.

Perfect Nude in my opinion.

I hope you enjoyed this review and try on. Thanks for supporting the PinkLuxpl blog.

Until next time stay Lux...XOXO

Gold Glow EyeShadow Tutorial

Gold Glow EyeShadow Tutorial

Hello Beautiful PL's!!!

I posted this eyeshadow look on Instagram and everyone seemed to like it so I thought I would share how I achieved this beautiful Gold Glow eyeshadow look. This eye look was inspired by the beautiful sunny day I wanted it to be outside however it was rainy. I used all drugstore and low price items to create this look. The eye was very easy to create but it requires a lot of blending. All items used will be listed below. If you would like to see more eyeshadow looks please let me know! XOXO

This is the Gold Glow look we will be creating today!

Step 1: Using the BH Cosmetics 88 Matte Color Palette use a shade similar to your skin tone. This shade will be used as your transitional shade and as a blending shade later.

Step 2: Apply Nyx Cosmetics Yellow Gold over lid, use a damp brush to make color vibrant. (blend colors) I am in love with this pigment.

Step 3: Apply Milani Cosmetics Bella Bronze on the outer v area. (Blend some more)

Step 4: Create a wing line using Nyc Cosmetics liquid eyeliner in black. (Or which ever you have already.)

Step 5: Apply L.A. Girl Cosmetics eyeliner in Teal to bottom water line and blend. Under Teal apply the dark brown shadow from the 88 Matte Palette. (Keep blending)

Step 6: Apply your favorite mascara or lashes. Loreal Volume mascara was used on top and bottom lashes.

Step 7: Since there is color and boldness on the eyes I went with a nude lip. L.A. Girl Cosmetics Matte Gloss in Dreamy is the perfect nude!

A review on the L.A. Girl Matte Glosses is coming soon so stay tuned.

This is the complete Gold Glow eyeshadow look! I hope this was easy to follow and yours came out beautiful. Thanks so much for supporting the PinkLux blog.

Until next time stay Lux... XOXO

Balancing Life, Work & Blogging

Balancing Life, Work & Blogging

Hello my beautiful PL's!

Balancing life, work and blogging can be hectic and stressful if you do not know how to manage your time. You can do all three while continuing to be happy and healthy. Blogging is my stress reliever and makes my day feel complete. When I cannot blog or work on the blog I feel like I'm letting myself down and my beautiful subscribers. Below I will share my top 3 tips on balancing life, work and being a blogger.

1. Time Management- This is the most important part of handling all three important roles. Without time management you will feel overwhelmed and lack at one of your roles. Your blog will reflect that you are rushing. Most important you want to have time to make great content for your subscribers.

2. Scheduling using a Book/Planner- Purchasing a planner will help you time manage your life. A planner is great to use for scheduling blog post, appointments, and everyday task. I love to add little stickers and pictures to make planning fun.

3. Clear your mind- This may sound easy to do but if you work full time, have a family, and blog then this can be a very big challenge. Clearing your mind will help you think of great topics to discuss on your blog and relieve stress accumulated throughout your day. Get that glass of wine and soak in your bathtub you deserve it!

What are some ways your balance your life? Let me know below.

Favorite April Beauty Products

Favorite April Beauty Products

*Hello Beautiful PL's*

This is officially my first monthly favorites! YEAH! I am so excited to share with you what I have been using over and over throughout the month of April. First, I must say the month of April went by very quick. I need time to sloooowww down. (Lol) Before we know it the month of June will be here and it will be summer.

I have been loving drugstore beauty products lately. I feel like some are better than high end beauty products. I also tried new products in the month of April. Some new products I fell in love with and others I  regretted. First, let me state that I have combination skin so some products may differ on oily or dry skin. :)

My first favorite beauty product is the Maybelline Matte/Poreless Foundation. I am in the shade 228 Soft Tan.  When applied with a face primer this foundation goes on flawlessly. If not used with a primer it will look dry in areas. I love how it dries and sets in place. The only downside is that the line does not have a large variety of shades. This will be a perfect foundation for Spring and Summer.

My second favorite beauty product is the Maybelline Fit Powder Foundation. I am in the shade 240 Golden Beige. The powders are a little off when it comes to color. They do not match the foundation color. I use the powder foundation as a under eye setting powder. It sets the concealer very well and does not crease. I do not recommend to use as an all over face powder foundation because it is not full coverage.
My third favorite beauty products are the Milani eye shadows: Bella Copper and Bella Champagne. The first color is a metallic shadow and it is BEAUTIFUL. It looks so beautiful on top of dark colors and worn alone. The second shade is a shimmer shadow that I love to wear in the corner of my eye. I have also worn it alone with just a brown shadow and it looks so effortless on the lids.

My fourth favorite is the L.A. Colors 3D Blush Contour palette in Love Bird. Is such a great bang for your buck for only $2.99, it is not chalky and does not cake on the face. I came across this amazing palette while shopping online. I love the contour and blush shade in this palette. The highlight looks great on the brow bone and below the cheek bone contour. I would not use this to bake your highlight.

The E.L.F. Makeup Mist & Set is great to use to freshen up your face and neck. I love to use the mist when I am running errands and get a little moist around my nose. Use the mist as an adhesive on your makeup brush before applying foil or metallic eye shadow to help the product stick to your skin.

I have two lip products that I used over and over throughout the month of April. They are Nyx Matte Lipstick in Butter and Nyx Xtreme Shine Lip Cream in Nude Peach Fuzz. I loved wearing them alone with a lip pencil and together. Combined they made a perfect nude lip.

In the month of April I loved two nail polish shades that I already owned. I bought so many nail polishes to try but I kept coming back to E.L.F. Nude and Ruby Kisses Sweet Thing (worn in picture above. I love when I find highly pigmented cheap nail polishes. The Nude color is so perfect to wear with every outfit and Sweet Things is the perfect bright pink color.
