How to: Matte Lipstick or Lipgloss

How to: Matte Lipstick or Lipgloss

Hello beautiful PL's!

I am in love with matte liquid lipsticks and lip glosses but buying them all can be very expensive. Are you tired of seeing all the beautiful matte lip shades and wanting them all but cannot afford them? I will show you how to make your own matte lip shades below. All you will need is lipstick or lip gloss and sheer translucent powder. (Yet it is that easy) Enjoy!

Step 1: Apply a dot of liquid lipstick or lip gloss to mixing plate. This can be used on low end and high end lip products.
Step 2: Apply your translucent powder on top of lip product. (ELF Cosmetics Sheer Translucent Powder used.)
Step 3: Mix lip product and translucent powder together. You will be able to see your glossy lip gloss or liquid lipstick turn to matte instantly.

::Finished Product::
Top Lip is glossy. Bottom lip is matte. Try with your favorite lip colors and let me know if you think below!

FYI: This can also be done with lipsticks. First, apply lipstick to lips as usual. Second, tap sheer translucent powder on lips.

All out and need to Restock-Beauty Products

All out and need to Restock-Beauty Products

Hi Everyone, Welcome back to PinkLuxpl!

I thought it would be a great idea to share with you the beauty products I have used up and how they worked. Sometimes when trying a new product it can be gold or end up coal. Surprisingly, all the products listed are gold in my book and will be repurchased.

Left to Right

1. The Bikini Zone shaving gel is AMAZING. This is my first time using this product and I love how it really prevents the bikini area from bumping up after shaving with a razor. It is a blue gel that is very soothing to the skin. Be careful when applying because it can slip off your fingers if you shave in the shower. With bikini season around the corner I recommend using this product instead of shaving cream or conditioner. Razor bumps are not cute and can be very annoying.

2. I am sure you ladies have heard of this amazing Argan oil of Morocco by Ogx if not you live under a rock. (Just kidding) I love to apply this to the ends of my hair when I am wearing it naturally curly. You can also apply to straight hair, just make sure to apply a small amount so it does not weigh the hair down. It leaves your hair so soft and shiny.

3. If you suffer from dandruff or your hair is very dry then you must try Creme of Nature Shampoo. This was a must have product in the Fall/Winter months. It leaves your hair feeling so moisturized and glossy. Your scalp will not flake for days. It is truly a miracle in a bottle. I have used Sulfur8 and tons of other hair shampoos and none did a better job. (This was a product my boyfriend recommended lol)

4. This product has been raved on the blog before and is used in my weekly hair routine. You can check out my hair routine here.

5. Lastly, the Clean & Clear dual action moisturizer is a product I have purchased over an over. I love how it makes my skin feel hydrated after applying. This is used as a first layer before priming the face for makeup. It also prevents breakouts which is always a bonus in a beauty product.

Well ladies and gents those are all the products that are empty and need to be restocked. I am headed out tomorrow to restock and might find some new gold items.

Spring Soles

Spring Soles

~Happy Wednesday beautiful PL's~

Wednesday is my favorite day of the week so I thought a great way to start out would be talking about Spring shoes! We all love shoes right? (Of course) I have been searching high and low for a perfect pair of Spring shoes but I cannot find just one pair. Ok, lets be honest what woman can find one pair of shoes? We need them all! This Spring will be about bright floral, bright color heels or sandals and snakeskin everything. The pointed toe heel has come back and has been seen from the runway to the street. I have listed a few of my Spring must have shoes that will transition into your Summer wardrobe.  Enjoy! Please let me know which one is your favorite! XOXO

I am in love with these sneakers. HERE I love heels but I would definitely trade them in for these sneakers. The snakeskin is perfect for spring and can be worn with so many outfits. They add that perfect amount of print as stated in the Spring Look Book

You will love these nude snake skin pointed toe heels. The lock on the strap reminds me of the Tom Ford heels. (retail price: $1540) This type of heel has been seen on Jlo and other celebrities. Purchase the Lux for Less version HERE

This pink and white stripe heel screams girly and chic. Here The bow on the back gives the shoe a surprise for those that walk pass you and check out your shoes. The pointy toe heel is perfect for work and night out looks. If you get these please share with me how you style them. I love to see your creations. @pinkluxpl

A metallic heel is always perfect for Spring and Summer. The heel is only 4 1/2, perfect for walking around. Here

The white and snakeskin combination is perfect for the corporate woman. Love the side zipper and buckle detail on the shoe. It also has a small platform to give comfort to the foot which is always great for walking/standing long periods of time.  Here
OK, usually a gladiator shoe would not be featured on the blog but these are FABULOUS. The yellow screams Spring and Lux. This boot sandal also comes in black and white. These are the perfect pop of color. Here
Love a white wedge with gold hardware. The gold hardware gives this cork wedge the right amount of glam.
These are a perfect pair of black wedges. The cut outs allow your feet to breath and prevents them from sweating through the faux leather material. The ankle strap helps them from sliding off your foot while walking. These are a staple piece for your Spring wardrobe. Here

These are selling very fast so get them while you can. They are very similar to the Steve Madden heels from last year that only came in black and nude. Get the floral heels above Here.

OMG the floral print, side bow, and pointed toe heel is a perfect girly combination. Mix these with a polka dot top for a beautiful mixture of prints. Purchase Here.

One does not have to wear heels and wedges everyday. On a relaxing Spring day put on these cute flat sandals and a maxi dress for an instant Lux look. Purchase Here

I hope you enjoyed my Spring Soles edition. XOXO

Spring Flowers:Nail Tutorial

Spring Flowers:Nail Tutorial

Happy Monday beautiful PL's!!!

The phrase "April showers bring May flowers" is a true statement because it has been raining constantly in Alabama. Due to all the rainy days flowers are blooming and rainbows are across the sky. It is very beautiful and inspirational. This nail look was inspired by the growing flowers in my backyard and the colorful rainbow in the sky over the weekend. I hope you enjoy this nail tutorial. XOXO

::Finished Look::

*Items Needed*
We are using all Eyes Lips Face (ELF) polishes today, they are only $2. Beauty on a budget is best!  The pigmentation is great and the durability is long lasting. When applied with a base and top coat your nails should not chip until 3-5 days later.

OPI Base Coat// Nail Enamel-White//Wet n Wild-Clear

Beauty Sponge// Rhinestones-Ebay// Dotting Tools

Step 1~ Apply two coats of White polish. (This will make the colors more vibrant.)

Step 2~ Apply Lilac and Yellow to half of the sponge. (wait 3 seconds before stamping on nail)

Step 3~ Apply sponge on half of nail. (Right side shown)

Step 4~ Apply Mango Madness and Mint Cream to the other half of the sponge. (wait 3 seconds before stamping on nail)

Step 5~ Apply sponge on other half of nail.
(Remove polish on skin with Q-tip and remover)
Apply glitter polish. (Optional)
Step 6~ Using dotting tool create 3 petal flowers.

Step 7~ Apply rhinestones to center of flower by applying a small dot of clear polish to center.
Step 8~ Finish with a top coat. (This will also seal the stones on the nail)
Step 9~ Polish other nails one of the 4 colors.

Step 10~ Apply rhinestones (I love rhinestones) to corner of desired nail. (This is optional)
